Szilvi Szénási is the Director of the Uccu Roma Informal Education Foundation (Hungary). Szilvi Szénási leads a Roma-led non-formal education organisation dedicated to fostering meaningful dialogue between Roma and non-Roma youth. Her work focuses on authentic representation in education, challenging stereotypes, and creating safe learning spaces grounded in lived experience. A key pillar of her work is the preservation of Roma Holocaust memory, through initiatives that position Roma communities as memory keepers and active contributors to European remembrance. By combining inclusive education practices with youth empowerment, Szénási’s work strengthens democratic values and promotes a more inclusive and honest European collective memory.
