Meet our Romdiem Symposium Speakers

Plenary Panel: “The Roma Holocaust in European Narratives”

The ROMDIEM Symposium brings together leading experts and advocates to reflect on the Roma Holocaust and its place within European historical memory. This plenary panel aims to explore how the Roma experience during the Holocaust has been documented, remembered, and narrated across Europe — and how national narratives shape collective understanding today.

The panel features a diverse range of perspectives, including education, human rights, community activism, political science, and cultural communication. Together, the speakers will examine the challenges of historical documentation, the gaps in national narratives, and the importance of inclusive memory in shaping Europe’s future.
